Various Female Serial Killers
Mary Ann Cotton: She is one of the most prolific serial killers in English history. She murdered an estimated 23 people over a 12 year span. Some of her victims included three husbands, ten children, five step-children and even a sister-in-law. Her method of killing was using arsenic to poison. She was sent to the gallows on March 24, 1873.
Gesina Gottfried: She was a native of Bremen, Germany. During a ten year span she poisoned 16 people. That total inlcuded three husbands, two young sons, her own parents, a brother, a friend and the wife and five children of an employer. She was arrested in March of 1828 and showed no remorse for her crimes. She even told officials that she was born without a conscience and she was beheaded in 1828.
Marie de Brinviliers: She was a spoiled daughter of a prominent Parisian family. She murdered her father, two brothers and possibly 50 other people as well. She used a posion that she would test on patients at a hospital. In July of 1676 she was beheaded for her crimes in front of Notre Dame Cathedral.
