There is no argument on that point. But, he stepped up, admitted his crimes, and helped solve the crimes he committed, the families would never have gotten closure in some cases without his statements. He didn't HAVE to admit EVERYTHING. He could have sat back and let those families worry forever, and he didn't. He said at his sentencing he was glad it was over, and advised them never to let him out, he simply knew he would never be able to stop. At least, in the end, he did the right thing.
