At the moment, the new domain will be using a free WP theme. I’m going to try and find something that of course fits the mood of DS. If anyone out there wants to create a custom design for DS, just let me know! You’ll get full credit as always.

Once the new domain is up and running, I’ll make a post letting everyone know to update their links. Please make sure you update all your links, I know it’s a pain in the ass but it has to be done. I’ll probably keep this WP blog around for a few months but once I feel that everything is going smoothly, this will be deleted.

If anyone has any questions or suggestions, just let me know.

I’m just not sure. If you Google the name of the blog, it’s 4th on the list. It’s hard getting people to update links as well. On the plus side, I’d be able to do more as far as the sidebar and themes go. The theme issue is the only thing that really bugs me using WP.com.

What do you guys think? Good idea, bad idea?

I believe a few weeks ago I posted about screenings that would be held in various US cities. It looks like those will be the only screenings as the website now offers you the option to pre-order the DVD.  I know this film had the odds against it as many people were upset that the movie was even made. I’m not sure if that has anything to do with the fact it’s not opening nationwide or not. I couldn’t really find anything about that on the website.

In ‘Red Dragon’ we learned who he was. In ‘Silence of the Lambs’ we learned how he did it. Now comes the most chilling chapter in the life of Hannibal Lecter – the one that answers the most elusive question of all – why?

The movie is due out on February 9th. Do any of you plan on seeing it?

The most common items are books and DVDs. Why spend $15 on a book when you might be able to find it on Ebay for a little cheaper? The same goes for DVDs. I was able to find an A&E DVD about Dahmer and a few others on Ebay for much cheaper then what the A&E website wanted. If you’re lucky, you can find “package deals” where someone has grouped together a few books or movies. This way you get more bang for your buck. Instead of paying $10 for one Anne Rule book, you might be able to get 3 or 4 for that amount.

Every once in awhile though, you can find something a little different. It all depends on luck though. I think Ebay has a strict policy about what can and can’t be listed. I managed to find wood from a shed that belonged to Ed Gein. The seller can’t confirm just how real the item is though since he purchased it from someone else at a show. A few pages later I came across Dahmer’s yearbook. This auction has a crazy ass “Buy It Now” price of $598.00. The auction as the moment has no bids, imagine that. A search for Ted Bundy brings up an auction containing his death certificate. The auction includes an image but you can’t really read it.

A few days ago in the news I read that someone was trying to sell items and wood from the house of the BTK Killer. Ebay took the auction down and the police in the area have already said if anyone is caught trying to steal items from the house, they will be arrested and charged. The house is scheduled for demo and in it’s place will be a park.

If you take your time and look, you can find both typical and interesting things on Ebay as far as serial killers go.

The one “issue” is that I started a new job. At the old job I could sneak on here and publish the scheduled posts in the morning or whenever they needed to be put up. Hell, I even worked on some posts while I was at my job. I can’t do this at the new job. I don’t want to get fired for “playing” around on the internet and this company has a real IT department which means they could be checking up on my internet usage whenever they want.

I figure as long as I’m posting, it doesn’t really matter what I post and on what day I post it. As I mentioned before, the schedule did it’s job for the months that I had it in use.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t one part of being a serial killer having more then 2-3 victims? At the moment there are 4 victims, all of which were killed in the same manner and dumped in the same manner. I just have this crazy feeling that if the victims were children, prostitutes or another “group” of people, the police wouldn’t have such a hard time labeling the killer as a serial killer, but that’s just my opinion.

Many killers feel they are doing the world a favor by killing certain types of victims, such as prostitutes or drug users/dealers. They see them as worthless and basicly wasting space. Perhaps that’s how this person feels about the homeless, that they are an eyesore and that the area would be better without them. The fact they are all “scrappers” could be totally unrelated but I guess we’ll have to wait and see!

It made me wonder what the child is like. I don’t recall if they said if the baby was a boy or girl. I started thinking if the child had a normal life, ever found out who his/her real mother was. It made me wonder if the violence that Wuornos committed was “passed down” or not. I have plenty of questions yet no way to get any answers.

Zodiackiller.com is probably the best Zodiac website out there. Many websites fail to be kept updated but this one was just updated on December 20th. That shows dedication. Not only is it updated on a regular basis, the website itself is very easy to navigate and use.

There are various sections like FAQ, The Suspects and even an area dedicated to the victims of the Zodiac Killer. It’s nice to see something like that. Those people deserve to be remembered and noticed. The detail that goes into the pages is amazing. This page is dedicated to a pair of victims and is very well organized and designed. It’s not just thrown together with some simple HTML.

I think the most interesting part of the site is the section dedicated to the letters and communcations with the Zodiac Killer. You can view all the letters and what not here.

If you have some time to kill (no pun intended) do yourself a favor and check out this website. It’s well worth your time and you might even learn something new.
