New York Serial Killers

Hopefully I’ll be able to do a post like this for all the states. Remember, to find more information just click the links or just do a simple Google search. I can’t list them all! I tried to find NY killers that perhaps people weren’t too familiar with.

Joel Rifkin: Killed at least seventeen women, mostly prostitutes in the NY area. He was caught while driving a pickup with no license plates and a three-day old corpse sitting next to him. Rifkin was sentenced to 203 2/3 years to life is Attica, a complex of brick, red tile-roofed buildings clustered behind a 30-foot, concrete wall in the green hills east of Buffalo. He is confined to his cell 23 hours a day for his own protection.

Kendall Francois: By the time they were done investigators found the bodies of eight women in various states of decay tucked away in the attic, basement and crawl spaces of the home the bulging serial killer shared with his mother, father and younger sister.

Robert Shulman: A 42-year-old post office sorter, Robert Shulman confessed to killing five prostitutes between 1991 and 1996 and dumping their dismembered bodies in garbage bins around New York.

Heriberto Seda: Targeted New York City from 1990 to 1994. Before being caught on June 18, 1996, Seda killed three people and critically wounded four. Seda is believed to have admired San Francisco’s Zodiac Killer of the 1960’s for avoiding ever being caught. In 1998, Seda was convicted and sentenced to 236 years in prison.

  1. any way you could do something on Idaho? I’m sure I could find it myself, but I just love reading your stuff. You always find the obscure killers.

Keep it up, I love it!

  2. One has to wonder if Rifkin was riding around with the corpse so he could drive in the carpool lane 🙂
